About WHA
Women in Health Administration of Southern California (WHA) is a professional association for women healthcare executives in Southern California. We are devoted to:
- Providing forums for professional growth and career development
- Creating opportunities for quality networking and personal growth
- Raising awareness and understanding of current healthcare issues
- Mentoring young women and other professionals
- Promoting the visibility of women health care professionals
Since 1981, WHA has grown to comprise several hundred healthcare leaders working for not-for-profit and for-profit payers, providers, regulatory agencies, and support services organizations.
Educational and professional development forums provide the vehicle to learn from key leaders, policymakers, and experts, and to meet firsthand the individuals shaping and influencing healthcare.
WHA is a designated women’s network of the American College of Healthcare Executives, which provides members a wide network of professionals throughout the United States.
Commitment to students, the future leaders of healthcare, is supported in part by an annual scholarship program for qualified students in graduate health administration programs.
WHA is a nonprofit 501(c)(6), professional association supported by membership dues and corporate sponsorships.
